Appellations of origin

An appellation of origin is the geographical name of a country, region or locality used to designate a product originating there, the quality or characteristics of which are due exclusively or essentially to the geographical environment, including natural and human factors.

Agricultural, food or craft products: ASK-IP assists producers, groups and the bodies concerned in protecting and defending their appellations of origin.
